Kevin RisonChu, Co-Founder & CTO of Stratus10

Kevin RisonChu's path into cloud technology began well before "the cloud" was a category. After earning a BS in Applied Computer Science, he built his early career as a hands-on systems and Linux engineer, including a stint advising startups on highly available global infrastructure.

Kevin spent a decade at Mirum Agency (formerly Digitaria), rising from Lead Systems Engineer to Director of Systems and Infrastructure. There, he led a geographically distributed engineering team supporting global clients under strict SLAs, oversaw multimillion IT budgets, and drove the agency's migration from traditional data centers to a fully cloud-based infrastructure model. He also played a key role guiding the technology organization through WPP and J. Walter Thompson's 2010 acquisition of Digitaria and the earn-out period that followed.

In 2017, Kevin co-founded Stratus10 alongside Oscar Moncada, bringing his deep infrastructure and AWS expertise to help companies navigate cloud migration and management. As CTO & Co-Founder, he leads Stratus10's technical strategy and delivery, architecting scalable, cost-effective AWS and Azure solutions for clients ranging from startups to government entities. He also serves as CTO of Kalos, Stratus10's AI-powered cloud management platform, and continues to advise investment firms and corporations as an Independent Professional Advisor with Guidepoint.

With 25+ years of experience, Kevin's specialties span AI strategy and adoption, AWS cloud architecture and migration, DevOps automation, project and resource management, and staff development and mentoring. An AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional and a vocal advocate for the practical use of AI in business, Kevin regularly writes and speaks on how AI is reshaping the economics of knowledge work.
