The Challenge

GB International was facing challenges with their Windows workloads for users located in other countries. With a traditional IT infrastructure located across multiple data centers GB International was searching for a more streamlined way to manage their servers, increase security, and maintain uninterrupted connectivity for their users abroad. GB International sought the help of Stratus10 for their server migration to AWS.
 

The Solution

Stratus10 assisted GB International in designing and implementing a highly-available, secure, and scalable solution for their application and web servers across multiple AWS regions, giving their users abroad uninterrupted connectivity without the overhead of managing multiple data centers. 

CloudFormation templates deployed the infrastructure as code, Lambda functions automatically monitored and reassigned Elastic IPs whenever instances were replaced by the autoscaling group, and AWS Systems Manager handled OS patching across all instances to keep the environment consistent and secure. 

The result was an infrastructure that scaled with demand while reducing GB International's costs by 62% compared to their previous data center spending.
